I read it as “tell me/tell me” at first; really dug the “tell me/SELL me” when I picked it up. The strip-mining’s vivid too.
Do they want to buy some wood? -
wonderful confluence of time, age and photography. ‘tell me, sell me’ twangs beautifully.
“-Man: “Oh! Well, never mind. Dib dib? Is your uh, is your wife interested in … PHOTOGRAPHY, ay? photographs, ay’, he asked him knowingly?”
