\nby the free-range 3-year-olds who

By their moms who don\u2019t trust the geese, don\u2019t trust
\nthe two old(er) guys at the picnic table
\nwith matching gray streaked
\nbeards handing <\/p>\n
a box
\nbetween them.
\nWordless very much
\nlike the cold warriors
\nthey are. <\/p>\n
They are cold. We are cold.
\nIt\u2019s a cold day.<\/p>\n
I want to shake the box and the hard drives
\nand let all the
\nphotos and movies of my kids
\nas kids rain down, coat my hair
\nlike pixel dust with their music videos and
\nthe sound files we kept of their
\ntoddler voices with
\nNew York accents <\/p>\n
my beloved
\nlost characters from
\n“Our Gang.” <\/p>\n
We put our masks back on when people move close.
\nSlip them over, up over our mouths.<\/p>\n
We talk about how we\u2019re still
\nmaking time for creative projects.<\/p>\n
He can\u2019t help me with my drives.
\nHe has to work on his script.
\nI can\u2019t read his script. I need to work on my poems.
\nWe both need to work.<\/p>\n
We sound like two people talking about how
\nthe stores are closing soon, <\/p>\n
and if we want to buy that shirt
\nthose slacks, that stylish hat
\nwe’ll need to get it in gear and
